  • SHS-French group participation to SHS2003 (Krakow, Poland): 17 researchers including 9 laboratories. Ellen Heian (Poitiers), Fran.oise Nardou (Limoges), Davis Tingaud (Limoges), Gilles Bertrand (Dijon), Florence Baras (Dijon), Tony Montesin (Dijon), Fr.d.ric Bernard (Dijon), S.bastien Paris (Dijon / Belfort), Jean-Claude Gachon (Nancy), Dominique Vrel (Villetaneuse), Annie Lemarchand (Paris VI), Jean-Pierre Bonnet (Limoges), B.n.dicte Haller (Limoges), Rose-Marie Ayral (Montpellier), Marie-Christine Record (Montpellier), Nicole Frety (Montpellier), Davy Carole (Montpellier). 1 invited conference, 7 oral communications and 10 posters will be presented.
  • Presentation of the SHS-AS. Each participant has been informed by the access conditions of this SHS-AS (entrance and annual fees). The SHS-French group will send all information concerning SHS activities in France (Ph-thesis, scientific events ...) to SHS-AS. Discussion about the organisation of the next SHS conference in 2005 for which 3 candidates have been proposed: Italy (G.Cao - Sardinia), France (SHS-French Group) and Georgia (G. Oniashivili - Georgia). The SHS-French group confirms its wish to organise a next SHS conference, may be 2007 or 2009 if Italy is selected for SHS2005.
  • 1st Workshop "France-Russia" on SHS (Chernogolovka, Russia): From dates proposed by Russian group, the period from 6th to 10th of October 2003 was selected by the French group. 10-12 communications will be submitted by SHS-French group. The deadline for sending abstracts (300 words) is the 1st of May. An extended version of these abstracts will be sent later (fix a new date with Russian colleagues).
  • Activities report (in French) in pdf version of the SHS-French group for the period 2001-2002 will be sent to SHS-AS. This report includes the main scientific results in terms of elaboration, characterization and modelling and the scientific production in the SHS field.
  • Robin table for establishing the scientific program for the period 2003-2004. The main effort, for this second period, will concern the modelling aspects including the meso- and macroscopic analysis. Different systems i.e. solid / gas and solid / liquid will be investigated in relation with experimental investigations. Indeed, the effort for improving characterization tools (in particular TRXRD experiments) will be maintained. In addition, two approaches using finite elements and volumes methods will be also considered. Consequently, work subgroups (TRXRD experiments, study of solid / gas reaction) have been created for establishing a work planning.
