About SHS-AS

Objectives:

Its basic task is maintenance of all kinds of activities in the field of SHS, namely R&D, education, industrialization, commercialization, etc. In the focus of the SHS-AS are all kinds of ceramics-related activities.

Establishment:

The SHS Association was established in 2002 as a non-profit structural unit of the Institute of Topical Associations (ITA) within the World Academy of Ceramics.

Activities:

• holding International Symposia on SHS each two years
• assistance in organizing other international meetings
• issue of the bibliographical bulletin on SHS
• stimulating popularization of Int. J. SHS
• support of writing text-books, monographs, handbooks, etc.
• popularization of current achievements in the field of SHS
• conferring of awards for outstanding achievements in the field of SHS

Awards:

• Golden medal "For outstanding contribution to SHS theory and practice"
• Badge of Honor and Diploma "For outstanding organizational activities"

The awards are presented at the International Symposia on SHS
